Sony Ericsson's first device based on the Symbian Foundation, the Idou, will start shipping from October 2009. Sony Ericsson showcased a prototype of this device at the start of the Mobile World Congress 2009. Idou is the first phone from Sony Ericsson that belongs to its new range of mobile handset called, "Unlimited Entertainment". Apart from being based on Symbian Foundation, the phone boasts of a 12 mega pixel snapper, turbo 3G (HSDPA or HSUPA), 3.5 inch touch screen with a resolution of 640 x 320 pixels, Bluetooth and Micro M2 Memory slot. Talking about the "Unlimited Entertainment" range of mobile phones from Sony Ericsson, these phones, apart from focusing on imaging and music, will also focus on social networks, gaming and video services. Also, Sony Ericsson's Germany product manager has confirmed that there are many phones that are lined up after the Idou, which will be launching soon. Hopefully these phones revive the lost glory of Sony Ericsson, which is struggling in the mobile phone market worldwide.
